Kevin Irwin Obituary

Kevin J. Irwin, age 65, of Newmanstown passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his home.

He was the loving husband of 40 years to Beverly A. (Hippert) Irwin.

He was born in Ephrata, PA on June 19, 1960, a son of the late Walter J. and Viola H. (Freeman) Irwin.

Kevin attended Cocalico High and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, Alaska.

He was last working as the Site Operations Manager for Budget Maintenance at Carpenter Tech for 14 years, following years of employment with KBR overseas in the Middle East to support his family.

He enjoyed spending time with his son, brother, and father through his hobbies of fishing, hunting, boating in Blue Marsh, golfing, and especially spending time with his family and pets. He was a proud grandfather and extremely hard worker who always looked out for others. His radiant smile and affable goofy personality were second to none. Kevin had a one-of-a-kind way of connecting with complete strangers, always leaving them with a smile - even if the joke he told was one they had heard a million times. The lasting impression he left on everyone can never be replaced. He will be deeply missed.

Kevin was a lifelong diehard Los Angeles Rams fan. He was a major sports follower and would often enjoy attending football (Rams), baseball (Phillies/Dodgers), and hockey (Hershey Bears) games.

He was a member of the Joe Foss Club and the Richland American Legion.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kyle J. Irwin husband of Jessica; step-children, Clifford Kohr husband of Kimberly, and Candace Garrison; siblings, Susan Reese widow of Ronald, Jeffrey Irwin husband of Ilona, and Michael Irwin husband of Deanna; grandchildren, Sienna, Bryon, David, Austin, Tiffany, Tonya, and Todd; and eight great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held at Elias United Church of Christ in Newmanstown, PA on March 28th at 2pm.

Kevin will honorably be laid to rest at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.
